WALK OF GOOD AND BAD LUCK



How does one come across luck? Is it all up to chance or can you find luck? Does Gainesville give its residents bad luck with it’s stressful environment or does it give you luck with its endless opportunities? Some may argue that anything can be interpreted as luck, and luck can’t be bad.  

Collection When exploring the environment around Gainesville, FL, I found that a lot of things I collected were tied to this idea of luck in the environment. I chose to contextualize these random items with different forms of luck and see them through the lens of good or bad luck. I took on a quirky voice with this project and really had fun making this a unique interactive experience.

Mailer
I created a mailer, that invited the audience to "attend" the walk of good and back luck. It invites viewers to think about how different things in your environment can be seen as good or bad luck and how your perception can influence the way you navigate the world.




WEb Design
I made a website that acts like an interactive walking tour of luck in Gainesville. You are invited to click on different moving banners that take you to a new page exploring each object and how they should make you feel. The site is a little disorienting and playful, which I had lots of fun with.
